Click on an image below to see it in its original size.

Lima, the capital of Perú is located on the central coastline of the Pacific Ocean and is the meeting point for all political, cultural, and economic activity of the country.  The Northern and Southern Pan American Highways intersect here as well.  Lima was founded in 1535 by Francisco Pizarro and a decade later it became the capital and major city of the Viceroyalty of Peru.  It became the capital of independent Peru in 1821 and is now home to over 9 million inhabitants.  Take a look at some of the sights we visited!
