White Water Rafting on the Río Sarapiquí
Click on an image below to see it in its original size.
Our white-water rafting trip down the Sarapiquí River lasted about 2 hours and contained class II and III rapids. Some of the class III's were great because it had just rained.
On the way to our rafting site we passed through the town of Vara Blanca. It consisted of a school (l) and a police station (r).
Pictures from the La Paz and San Fernando waterfalls.
We're ready!
And we're off...
It wasn't long before we got into some good rapids.
Having some fun on the river.
The "fun" didn't last long though...more rapids!
